Bladenboro Class of ’56 getting ready, planning a class reunion… Details soon… I thought of when we entered school in Bladenboro. One of our first grade teachers was Miss Knott, a spinster, strict, fair…I wanted the class to take a nap after lunch…using newspapers spread out on an oil-based floor…Not my thing …didn’t take a nap at home and not much interest in first grade…Miss Knott prevailed…in my case…
Bladenboro Class of ’56 will have a date on Thursday, November 10 at 1 p.m…. More to come… About 100 started the high school adventure in 1952… about 50 graduated in ’56, and now until at 20 or 30…
One of the best songs of the time was “Straighten Up and Fly Right”, I don’t remember… Dean Martin and several others recorded… “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”. Very appropriate for today…and I remember…
