Shaving for the first time? THESE simple tips and DIY shaving cream will help you get the smoothest shave

Shaving has always been difficult for people who frequent salons and prefer waxing. However, as we are in the midst of the pandemic with very few salons open, risking contracting the hair removal bug doesn’t seem like a good plan. This is why shaving works as a perfect solution here. For all the people who are still afraid to shave, believe me, I speak from personal experience and nothing is easier than shaving. I mean, if you can sit through the pain of someone pulling your hair out, I salute you!

Whether you do it voluntarily or because you have no other choice, here are some tips to keep in mind before you start.

1. The right razor is important

Make sure the razor you use glides smoothly over your skin. Don’t put too much pressure on the razor, just glide it gently and it will do the work for you.

2. Open pores

It is necessary to open the pores before shaving. This guarantees you a smooth shave without any problems. Just run your body through lukewarm water and be sure to shave at the end of your shower.

3. Exfoliate

For many people, ingrown hairs are a problem. Even if it’s not for you, be sure to exfoliate with a good scrub. It also removes all the dead skin cells present on your body to give you a smooth shave.

Point: If you don’t have a body scrub, just mix coffee, sugar, and honey to make your own homemade scrub.

4. Shaving Cream

The use of shaving cream is very important, so we are going to raid our pantry and the garden to create one.

You will need:

Aloe Vera Gel

coconut oil

A few drops of your favorite essential oil

aloe vera coconut

1 Combine two tablespoons of coconut oil with two tablespoons of Aloe Vera gel. (Can change the amount according to your needs)

2. Mix well and add a few drops of your favorite essential oils.

3. Apply religiously to the area you want to shave and start shaving!

All the ingredients not only help you get a smooth shave but also moisturize the skin to prevent any further issues. For people with sensitive skin, aloe vera helps reduce any redness that may occur and its antibacterial nature protects the skin.

5. Shave against the grain

Body hair grows in a particular direction. Be sure to shave against it for a cleaner finish.

Good shave!
