When it comes to a haircut, beard trim (even though I can’t grow a beard), there’s one place I always recommend. This is De’Ville hair salon and shaving salon at 2243 S. Meridian.
I’ve been going to them since they were close to downtown, then to their Douglas and Meridian location.
The local store offers barber services, haircuts, beards and razor shaves. They do sketches, razor fades, hard parts, crew cuts, fades, tapers, simple haircuts, and even good laughs if you want that classic barbershop vibe.
Most services like a simple haircut cost $20.
Before I started going to De’Ville over a decade ago, I bounced around many places. I wish I had known De’Ville’s story back then…only if there were other Wichita bloggers 15-20 years ago giving advice like this.
Besides being a traditional barber shop, they are known for giving back a ton to the community. From toy drives to even discount haircuts for veterans on Veterans Day, they have given back entirely to the community that has helped make De’Ville what it is. she is today.
With four licensed barbers, they take no appointments. Everything is walk-in.
If you have to wait, don’t worry. There are plenty of free drinks available to pass the time.
De’Ville’s is closed on Sundays and Mondays, but is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
