I’ve lost count of how many times TikTok has let me know there is a better way to make my beauty routine part of it. The list of TikTok beauty tips just keeps growing – there have been heatless curls overnight with a robe belt, applying false lashes underneath for a more natural look, and a million more ways. improve your eye makeup application, and many more.
Shaving your legs is one of the last beauty tasks to get the TikTok treatment. Turns out, although I’ve been doing this basic part of my routine for a lot longer than I would like to think, there is a “better” way. According to TikTok user Lauren Henderson, she’s found a shave hack that makes it faster and easier and leaves you free of cuts, nicks, or rashes.
Henderson’s shaving trick is super easy. Rather than using your razor to do one section of your leg at a time, lifting it off your skin and then placing it back on your leg when you start a new section, you just keep the razor in contact with your leg at all times. moment, shave your leg up and down without ever removing it from your skin. I repeat: you never lift the razor off your leg, instead of moving it up and down your skin without removing it. It sounds strange, but here’s what’s stranger: it actually works.

It was much faster, my legs were smoother, and I didn’t have any cuts or nicks anywhere. I usually catch myself on my knee or the back of my ankle, but with this TikTok hack, there’s nothing but silky smooth skin. You can also go much faster than the “normal” way of shaving your legs, and it is much easier to get over difficult places (like your knees). There were also no missed hair spots.
It definitely changed the way I shave my legs forever. I shave my legs rather than wax or use depilatory creams because it’s quick, easy, and cheap, and there’s no waiting time for hairs to grow back until they are. are long enough as with waxing. Shaving hasn’t always been the smoothest hair removal method on my skin so far, but now that I’ve mastered this TikTok trick, it’s so much better.

My top tips for trying this shaving tip are to lather as usual with foam; use a clean, cool razor; and be careful even if you go fast. Continue your exfoliation and moisturize your legs as well, as any type of shaving can lead to drier skin and ingrown hairs. If you have issues with strawberry legs or ingrown hairs, you will still need to take extra precautions.
